Sean Obermeyer

SEAN OBERMEYER is a partner in Taft’s Private Client Practice Group, where he concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, administration of estates, trusts and guardianships, and fiduciary litigation. He also assists clients with estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax matters, formation and operation of family business entities and private foundations, premarital and cohabitation agreements, planning for LGBT individuals and couples, and planning for children with special needs.

Sean is certified as an Indiana trust and estate law specialist by the Trust & Estate Specialty Board, an independent certifying organization.

Sean earned his bachelor’s degree from Hanover College, graduating cum laude, and his law degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, graduating summa cum laude. In law school, he served as executive articles editor of the Indiana Law Review. Prior to law school, Sean was an assistant vice president and branch manager for PNC Bank.
