Zachary J. Sehy
ZACHARY SEHY is an associate in Taft's Chicago office in the Litigation practice group. His practice focuses primarily on the representation of traditional lending institutions and distressed debt investors in commercial real estate foreclosures and loan workouts. In the course of his practice, Zach represents lenders in a variety of litigation matters involving commercial real estate, lender liability litigation, collections, and bankruptcy. Zach also has experience in complex commercial litigation cases involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, business torts, and torts against property.
Zach received his B.S. in Media Studies and Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and his M.A. in Politics and Persuasion from New York University. He earned his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law. During law school, Zach was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta national mock trial team, and he was the recipient of several awards, including:
- CALI Award for Highest Grade in Pretrial Civil Litigation Strategy
- CALI Award for Highest Grade in the Misdemeanor Criminal Clinic
- Benjamin Hooks Distinguished Public Service Award
