ERICA COOK is an associate in Taft's Business & Finance and Private Client groups. Prior to law school, Erica spent several years as a government contractor in Washington, D.C. Most recently, she managed strategic projects and provided program support to the Department of Defense.
Erica received her B.A., summa cum laude, in criminology and psychology from Ohio University, her M.S. in justice and public policy from American University and her J.D., magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. She served as the executive editor of the Ohio State Entrepreneurial Business Law Journal, where she also received the Outstanding Student Note Award for her article "Sole Practitioner Succession Planning: It is Time to Stop Recommending Action and Start Requiring It," published spring of 2014.
Erica enjoys volunteering for the Franklin County Special Olympics, where she coaches adults with special needs in track and field events.
