E. MICHAEL MONTGOMERY is an associate in the Chicago office of Taft Stettinius & Hollister focusing his practice on real estate. He previously worked at Taft as a summer associate.

While pursuing his education, Michael received several scholarships and fellowships, including:

  • Norman Amaker Memorial Scholarship (June 2015).
  • Nina S. Appel Scholarship (June 2015).
  • Black Women Lawyers’ Association Scholarship (Fall 2014).
  • Civitas ChildLaw Fellowship (2013-2016).
  • Posse Foundation full tuition scholarship (2006-2010).

Michael earned his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, cum laude, in 2016, where he was included on the Dean’s List in Spring 2014, Fall 2014, Spring 2015, Fall 2015 and Spring 2016. He received his M.A. in urban education from Loyola Marymount University in 2013 and his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2010.
