EUGENE ROYTBERG is an associate in the Cleveland office of Taft and a member of the firm's Business & Finance Group. Eugene has provided counsel on entity formation, operating agreements and various business issues. He has advised owners, directors and officers of privately-held companies regarding legal entity governance and fiduciary duties.
Prior to entering private practice, Eugene served as a law clerk to the Honorable Arthur I. Harris at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of Ohio. He also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Patricia A. Delaney at the Ohio Fifth District Court of Appeals.
In 2011, Eugene received his J.D., cum laude, from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where he was an associate editor of the Ohio State Journal of Criminal Law. During law school, he received CALI Awards in Debtor & Creditor Law and Legal Writing & Analysis. He also earned the Judge Ernest Karam Award and was recognized as a Public Service Fellow with Dean's Special Recognition. In 2008, Eugene earned his B.S. in accounting, summa cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University.
