Armstrong’s session, “Employment Law Update for Employers,” will focus on recent changes in labor and employment law affecting healthcare employers and offer practical approaches to managing and preventing employment law problems. Moss’s “Managing the Union Threat in the Long-Term Care Industry” topic addresses the threat of union organizing in the long-term care industry. The session offers owner operators strategies for containing or reducing labor costs when acquiring a new facility through purchase or lease.
