Cleveland, OH, October 14, 2008 – Lester W. Armstrong and Steven M. Moss, attorneys in the Cleveland office of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP, will speak at the Ohio Academy of Nursing Homes, Inc.’s Annual Convention on Oct. 22. The Academy’s mission is to help “innovative, long-term care professionals provide quality health care to Ohioans." Armstrong’s session, “Employment Law Update for Employers,” will focus on recent changes in labor and employment law affecting healthcare employers and offer practical approaches to managing and preventing employment law problems. Moss’s “Managing the Union Threat in the Long-Term Care Industry” topic addresses the threat of union organizing in the long-term care industry. The session offers owner operators strategies for containing or reducing labor costs when acquiring a new facility through purchase or lease.
