Kathryn Kovitz Arnold Named Chair of Taft Chicago (Formerly Shefsky & Froelich) Real Estate Practice

Taft (formerly Shefsky & Froelich) is pleased to announce Kathryn Kovitz Arnold has been selected as the Chair of the Real Estate practice. Arnold succeeds Anthony Licata who has held the position since joining the firm in 1995 and is taking on the role of Chair for the firm’s Private Client practice.

Arnold has been with the firm for 24 years and also serves as the Chair of the Condominium practice. She focuses her practice on real estate development, condominium development and conversion, mixed-use high-rise development and commercial financing (owner and buyer representation). She has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for Real Estate Law and the Leading Lawyers Network. She has also been elected to Illinois Super Lawyers.

The Real Estate practice at Taft (formerly Shefsky & Froelich) handles a diverse range of major transactions, both within the Chicago metropolitan area and nationally. The practice annually handles transactions with an aggregate dollar value well in excess of $1 billion. These transactions span the full spectrum of commercial real estate activity, from development to financing to investment transactions.

Licata, who also remains Managing Partner for the firm, will now serve as Chair for the Private Client practice. Composed of more than 20 attorneys concentrating in corporate law, real estate law, estate planning and litigation, the Private Client practice provides the resources and experience to meet individual’s complex financial or personal legal needs.
