Bennett-Paris and Ruzich to Present at Biotechnology Law and New Frontiers Seminar in Budapest

Taft partners Joseph M. Bennett-Paris and Richard T. Ruzich will be presenters at the Biotechnology Law and New Frontiers seminar April 4-5 in Budapest. The seminar is organized by the Union Internationale des Avocats, with the support of the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office, the Hungarian Biotechnology Association and the Budapest Bar Association. Bennett-Paris will be a panelist for the session titled “Starting up a Biotech Business,” and Ruzich will be a panelist for the session titled “Due Diligence and Risk Management.”
 
Bennett-Paris is a partner in Taft’s Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences Litigation practice. He counsels clients in all areas of patent law, including patent prosecution, non-infringement, patentability, freedom-to-operate, invalidity and licensing. His practice primarily focuses on biotechnology, pharmaceutical, chemistry, and most recently, biosimilars.

Ruzich is also a partner in Taft’s Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences Litigation practice. He focuses on complex patent litigation, representing generic pharmaceutical companies in Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) litigation under the Hatch-Waxman statutory framework.
