Meister Presents at ACTEC Annual Fellows Meeting

Taft partner Julia B. Meister presented at the annual Ohio American College of Trust and Estate Counsel ("ACTEC") fellows meeting on April 19. Her presentation was titled "Mental Health and Substance Abuse Issues Affecting Our Clients and Their Families." The seminar ran all weekend at the 21C Hotel in Cincinnati. Meister counsels clients and represents them in business, commercial, estate, guardianship, trust, and fiduciary matters and professional ethics and discipline matters before courts, administrative tribunals and arbitrators.

The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel is a professional association consisting of approximately 2,700 lawyers from throughout the United States. Fellows of the college are nominated by other fellows in their geographic area and are elected by the membership at large. Meister is one of 100 elected fellows in Ohio. A lawyer cannot apply for membership in the college. Fellows are selected on the basis of professional reputation and ability in the fields of trusts and estates and on the basis of having made substantial contributions to these fields through lecturing, writing, teaching and bar activities.
