Eaton Quoted in Chicago Daily Law Bulletin Article on Appellate Brief Page Limits

Taft partner J. Timothy Eaton was quoted in the article “Word Count Could Replace 50-page Limit,” which appeared in the July 23 edition of the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin. Eaton is one of the authors of a proposal to change the current 50-page limit for Illinois Appellate Court briefs to a 14,000 word limit.

Eaton is a senior litigation partner in Taft’s Chicago office, concentrating on appeals, commercial litigation and arbitration. He is a former law clerk for the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and is active in local and national bar associations. He is a past president of the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and the Appellate Lawyers Association of Illinois.
