Kilgard and Hancock Named to Women Lawyers of Franklin County Board for 2016-2017

Taft attorneys Celia M. Kilgard and Ann J. Hancock have been named to the Women Lawyers of Franklin County (WLFC) Board for 2016-2017. Kilgard will serve as chair of the Women in the Profession Committee and Hancock will serve as chair of the Community Service Committee. A bar association for women attorneys in central Ohio, WLFC was established in 1942 and has grown from a few members to over 200 today. Throughout this time, WLFC has continued to address the professional needs and concerns of women lawyers in the Greater Columbus area.

Kilgard is an associate in Taft's Litigation group and focuses on complex civil litigation and appellate advocacy in all levels of state and federal courts. She has a diverse practice, handling everything from commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract, fraud and construction cases, to a variety of other litigation areas, including election law and compliance, white collar criminal defense, canon law, personal injury, administrative hearings, compliance and regulatory work.

Hancock is an associate in Taft's Litigation group and litigates matters in areas involving commercial contracts/leases, business torts, products liability, qui tams, employment, whistleblowing and education. She has experience representing clients in proceedings before administrative agencies, trial and appellate courts and the Ohio Supreme Court and also counsels clients on risk mitigation in the face of legal uncertainties. She has a mindset toward cost-effective and practical business solutions.
