Taft Partner John Papageorge Elected President of the Board of Directors for the Central Indiana Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP is pleased to announce that John D. Papageorge has been elected as President of the Board of Directors for the Central Indiana Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Papageorge is a partner in Taft’s Indianapolis office and a member of the firm’s Litigation, Environmental and Product Liability and Personal Injury Practice Groups. He received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and his Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law. He is a member of the Indianapolis and Indiana State Bar Associations and is a Barrister of the Indianapolis American Inn of Court. He also serves as President of the Indiana University College of Arts and Sciences Alumni Board and serves on the Indianapolis Zoo’s Zoobiliation Committee. He recently completed his participation in Class XXXV of the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series.

Komen Central Indiana is one of more than 120 affiliates. The Komen Central Indiana Race for the Cure is the largest single-day fundraising event in Indiana and one of the largest Komen Races in the world. The 21st annual Race will take place Saturday, April 21st 2012 at Military Park in downtown Indianapolis.
