Taft Elects Two New Partners

Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP is pleased to announce that Tracy N. Betz and Michael J. Zbiegien have been elected to the firm’s partnership. Betz and Zbiegien are members of Taft’s Litigation group in the firm’s Indianapolis and Cleveland offices, respectively.

Betz routinely represents companies and individuals in matters involving fiduciary and probate litigation, business and contract disputes, injunctive relief, product liability and personal injury (medical device), creditors’ rights and collections, receiverships, intellectual property, criminal defense, and non-compete and securities litigation. She has extensive first chair experience and has enjoyed significant courtroom time in both state and federal courts. Betz received her undergraduate degree from Indiana University – Bloomington and her law degree from Indiana University Maurer School of Law – Bloomington. She was recognized as a Distinguished Fellow by the Indianapolis Bar Foundation, as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers magazine, and as an Indiana “Future Star” in Litigation by Benchmark Litigation.

Zbiegien’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, including contract disputes, noncompete agreements and restrictive covenants, and business valuation disputes. He also has experience in disputes related to technology issues, such as IT architecture, intellectual property, and social media. Before joining Taft, Zbiegien served as a law clerk for the Honorable David D. Dowd, Jr., a Senior District Judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. Zbiegien received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his law degree from Case Western Reserve University, graduating magna cum laude and Order of the Coif. He was recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers magazine.
