Is it “High” Time to Change Your Drug Testing Policy?
Although Indiana has not legalized marijuana, more and more other states have legalized both recreational and medical marijuana. Along with the changed laws, there is a greater overall acceptance of marijuana usage. As a result, many employers are losing good employees to failed marijuana tests. We will be discussing whether your company should continue to test for marijuana and alternatives available to your organization.

The EEOC’s Final Regulations and Interpretive Guidance on the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act
The EEOC issued its final regulations and interpretive guidance on the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA). The PWFA requires employers with at least 15 employees and other covered entities to provide reasonable accommodations to qualified employees’ or applicants’ known limitations related to, affected by, or arising out of pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions unless the accommodation will cause undue hardship on the operation of the employer’s business. In this session, we will analyze the final regulations, clarify changes, and offer guidance on compliance.

Protecting your Interests: Crafting Enforceable Restrictive Covenants in an Evolving Landscape
This session will explore the FTC Rule being enjoined by a Texas court and practices for crafting non-competes moving forward. We will also cover other methods to protect employer interests outside of non-competes, including non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements.

AI is being used in the workplace in all aspects of an employee’s life cycle, from recruiting to performance management. This presentation will provide an overview of how AI is being used, the risks involved, and how to overcome those risks to ensure that AI advances your business interests.

There are specific issues to keep in mind while drafting a PTO policy and several pitfalls that employers can avoid. This presentation will review the necessary parts and concepts in a PTO policy and will provide best practices for drafting these policies in order to avoid incurring unforeseeable expenses and being subject to wage complaints.
