Identity theft, HIPAA and invasion of privacy remain hot topics in the media.  The restrictions imposed by certain privacy laws are often misunderstood.  In many cases on employer has a right and, sometimes, a duty to collect certain information about employees.

Join us for this discussion on how to effectively navigate through the potential privacy landmines without getting caught up in the many myths associated with privacy issues in the workplace.  Our discussion will include review of these and other “privacy” related issues:

  • Blogs and social networking sites (Facebook and Twitter)
  • Medical information under the ADA and HIPAA
  • Social security numbers
  • Drug and alcohol tests
  • Monitoring and/or searching employee e-mails, computers and physical property
  • Surveillance cameras and recording employee conversations

Register early.  Because of space constraints, attendance is limited.
