Federal Prosecution of Business Organizations - Policies & Practices
Taft attorney Bob McBride will present during this CLE program, which examines the risk of federal prosecution to businesses and executives. Attorneys representing medium and small businesses may find their client more vulnerable to prosecution. The U.S. Federal Sentencing Commission data shows that most of the organizations prosecuted to sentencing by the DOJ had fewer than 50 employees.
McBride’s presentation will cover the core DOJ policies governing the prosecution of businesses, how those policies are put into action, the role of an effective compliance program in risk mitigation and tips for creating one, issues related to internal investigations, and red flags that may indicate there is a criminal investigation afoot.
