It?s a Pandemic ? Do I Have to Pay Rent?
Taft Chicago Litigation partners John Riccione and Brianna Skelly will present The Knowledge Group webcast, “It’s a Pandemic – Do I Have to Pay Rent?” on Jan. 29, 2021.
The webinar will cover the topic of force majeure provisions in commercial contracts, with a focus on real estate, the “test” for whether force majeure can be invoked, and steps that parties may take to safeguard their positions in view of the continually evolving situation. This interactive session will include time for your questions and, hopefully, answer the question of whether a tenant can, indeed, stop paying rent.
