New Rules Released for Trademark Modernization Act: What Attorneys Need to Know Now

Taft attorneys Elizabeth Baumhart and Amanda Wilcox will present “New Rules Released for Trademark Modernization Act: What Attorneys Need to Know Now,” on Jan. 12, 2022. The webinar program will cover the most recent changes in trademark prosecution, streamlined procedures to cancel fraudulent applications and unused registered trademarks and Ex parte proceedings, the letters of protest practice, and new tools to challenge filings.

Baumhart is a member of Taft’s Intellectual Property practice group. She has vast experience prosecuting trademark and copyright applications, drafting intellectual property agreements, and enforcing clients’ rights, including online enforcement, and litigation before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

Wilcox focuses her practice on intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, licensing, and litigation. She manages and enforces international trademark portfolios for major brands, including international clearance searches, legal opinions relating to trademark use and registrability, procurement of trademark registration worldwide, design and implementation of worldwide trademark watches and enforcement strategies.
