Taft Columbus Seminar | Litigation Perils in Workplace Communications
This seminar will address lessons in internal company communications and how those communications can play out in litigation.
Please join Taft and the Association of Corporate Counsel for Central Ohio (ACC) for a fascinating ‘smoking gun’ tale, using video clips from depositions in the famous DuPont Chemical trials featured in the movie Dark Waters. Through this engrossing story, Dave Butler, a member of the DuPont litigation team, illustrates the critical role corporate counsel plays in managing internal communications to best protect the company. Unmanaged corporate behavior and internal communications can play a pivotal role at trial – and have devastating results in the hands of the jury.
To be provided: useful take-away materials about the attorney-client privilege in the corporate setting and the discovery of electronic information stored on personal devices.
