Urban Developments: A Holistic Approach

Kimberly Copp will participate on the panel “Urban Developments: A Holistic Approach” during the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) on Sept. 27, 2016 in Las Vegas.

The session will discuss the positive impact casinos have on economic revitalization and quality of life for residents. Participants will learn:

• Where urban developments could be most fruitful;
• Understand how casinos work with the community; and
• Gain insight on the economic contributions of casinos.

Copp is the co-chair of Taft’s Gaming practice. She has extensive experience representing cities and states (including regulatory bodies) on casino gaming matters including drafting legislation and related regulations, negotiating host community agreements between local governmental units and casino developers, conducting competitive selection processes for casino opportunities, and negotiating and providing counsel on casino development projects.
