Trademark Modernization Act
Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021
12:30 – 1:30 p.m. EDT / 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. CDT
Congress made significant changes to trademark and copyright law as part of the bipartisan coronavirus relief bill. The changes, currently scheduled to go into effect at the end of 2021, are intended to streamline USPTO procedures; restore the rebuttable presumption of irreparable harm in trademark cases; provide new tools for challenging filings based on inaccurate claims; and create a more cost effective “Smalls Claims” Court for copyright enforcement.
Join Taft’s Intellectual Property attorneys to discuss how these changes impact your valuable intellectual property.
Presented by: Phil Bautista, Mira Vats-Fournier, and Michael Lafeber.
One hour of general CLE credit for Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, and Ohio pending.
