SBA Part Twenty: SBA and Treasury Announce Enhanced Transparency Regarding the Paycheck Protection Program
In response to a bipartisan request by leaders of the Senate Small Business Committee for transparency related to the CARES Act’s Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), the Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Department of the Treasury (Treasury) recently announced it will make additional data regarding the PPP loans public. The SBA and Treasury state the agreement will ensure that interests of transparency and protections for small businesses are both served.
The SBA will disclose the following information regarding businesses that received PPP loans:
- Business names
- Business addresses
- NAICS codes
- Zip codes
- Business type
- Demographic data
- Non-profit information
- Jobs supported
- Loan amount ranges as follows:
- $150,000-350,000
- $350,000-1 million
- $1-2 million
- $2-5 million
- $5-10 million
