Summary of Illinois Historic Gaming Expansion Bill - Updated
On June 28, Illinois Gov. J. B. Pritzker, signed into law the massive gaming expansion bill previously passed by the Illinois General Assembly on June 2, 2019. The new law is enacted as Public Act 101-0031 and authorizes sports wagering, new casinos including a casino in Chicago, gaming operations (both slot machines and table games) at racetracks, increased wagering limits at video gaming terminals and expanded number of permitted video gaming terminals.
