Amarilio Elected Treasurer of Illinois Appellate Lawyers Association
Taft Chicago partner Jonathan B. Amarilio was sworn in as treasurer of the Illinois Appellate Lawyers Association (ALA) at the group’s annual installation luncheon on June 20 in Chicago.
Founded in 1968, the ALA is an association of lawyers who practice in the courts of review, and of judges who serve on those courts. Amarilio is a longtime member of the group and served as co-chair of the Communications and Publicity Committee. He also recently redesigned the ALA website and logo. His one-year term begins immediately.
Amarilio is a member of Taft’s Litigation practice group. He focuses his practice on civil appellate litigation and deploying critical motions. He has experience representing individuals, small businesses, state and local governments and a number of Fortune 500 companies before state and federal appellate courts, primarily the Illinois Appellate Court, the Illinois Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit.
