Associate, Marquis Tapplin, Interviewed by Minnesota Lawyer
Marquis Tapplin was recently interviewed by Minnesota Lawyer where he discussed his interest in “Game of Thrones” and how his years in the restaurant industry have served him well as an attorney.

Marquis came to Taft in November 2020 and is a first-year associate in the Lending and Finance practice group. Before the combination with Taft, Marquis was a 2019 summer associate at Briggs and Morgan. He earned his J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in May 2020, where he graduated summa cum laude. He also received a paralegal certificate from North Hennepin Community College, where he was an NHCC Scholar and winner of the inaugural legal student debate. As a paralegal, Marquis worked with the Volunteer Lawyers Network specializing in Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals cases.
