Bilott to Participate in Albany, NY Town Hall Meeting
Taft partner Robert A. Bilott will be a panelist at a town hall meeting tonight in Albany, N.Y., sponsored by local CBS affiliate WRGB-TB. The purpose of the meeting is to help provide scientific information on PFOA to area residents in New York, Vermont and New Hampshire, where PFOA has recently been detected in the drinking water. PFOA is a chemical being found in drinking water supplies across the country and is featured in the New York Times Magazine article “The Lawyer Who Became DuPont’s Worst Nightmare,” which covers Bilott's work to hold DuPont accountable for the harm caused by its release of PFOA in and around Parkersburg, W.Va.
Bilott is a member of the firm's Environmental, Litigation and Product Liability and Personal Injury groups, where he represents a diverse range of clients on a wide variety of matters involving federal, state and local environmental laws and related litigation.
