Birch Recognized as an IBJ Women of Influence
Chris Birch, Taft’s Chief Operating Officer, was recognized by the Indianapolis Business Journal as a 2019 Women of Influence honoree. She was honored along with distinguished local women from both the public and private sector who have demonstrated professional excellence and leadership in their careers and community service at an awards breakfast on Oct. 31.
Birch, a Certified Public Accountant, oversees Taft’s information technology, human resources, finance, benefits and compliance, facilities, and knowledge resources departments. Prior to joining Taft in 2016, Birch spent 22 years at Bose McKinney & Evans in the roles of Controller and Chief Financial Officer. She has been a member of the Indiana Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators since 2003 and served on the Chapter’s board as treasurer, president-elect, president and past president. Birch has volunteered in several different capacities for the Heroes Foundation since 2001 and represents Team Heroes in swimming, cycling, running and triathlon races. She actively supports the Indiana special needs community and has served on the boards of Indiana Special Olympics and the Indiana Chapter of Best Buddies.
