Sherman & Howard water law attorney and rancher James Eklund is moderating a panel discussion about the region’s fastest-growing water-intensive industries and how they affect water demand at the BizWest Confluence Colorado Water Summit. He will be joined by Adam Jokerst, Rocky Mountain Regional Director for WestWater Research, and Grant Tupper, Director of Operations and Business Development at Select Water Solutions.

The conference will run from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. MDT on August 1, 2024, at the Embassy Suites in Boulder, with Eklund’s panel discussion “Water-Intensive Industries” from 9:10 a.m. – 10:10 p.m. MT.

James Eklund co-leads the Natural Resources industry group at Sherman & Howard, Colorado’s oldest law firm. He is a strong advocate for smart water infrastructure and a recognized authority on water management in the American West. Eklund works with sovereign governments, multi-state authorities, state agencies, and private interests to deliver critical water infrastructure projects and design policies regarding water law, natural resources, infrastructure, and environmental protection.
