Bray Receives 2024 Distinguished Service Award
Taft Minneapolis partner Thomas Bray was honored by the MSBA Real Property Section and Minnesota CLE as the recipient of the 2024 Distinguished Service Award at the Real Estate Institute on Oct. 24. The award recognizes attorneys who have provided distinguished service within the Real Property Section. Bray has been a Certified Real Property Law Specialist since 2002 and a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers since 2007. He helped draft the Minnesota Common Ownership Interest Community Act (MCOIA) and serves on its committee. Bray is also a frequent presenter at the Real Estate Insititute.

Bray has more than 30 years experience representing both corporate and individual clients in all types of real estate acquisition, financing, development, and sale transactions. He has significant experience in the acquisition and development of land for commercial, residential and mixed use condominium and planned community projects, including condominium conversions. As a complement of his practice, Bray works closely with the public finance team and often serves as special counsel to cities and municipal development authorities in connection with commercial real estate development projects.
