Buechler and Menyhart Quoted in IBJ Article on ESG
Taft partners Stacia Buechler and Russell Menyhart were quoted in the article “Law firms see growing demand for advice on environmental, social investing issues,” which was published in the Indianapolis Business Journal on Aug. 25. The article discusses the increased demand for legal advice on initiatives that measure corporate responsibility in the areas of environmental impact, social concerns and corporate governance. Buechler and Menyhart co-chair Taft’s Socially Responsible Business and Impact Investing group.
Buechler leads Taft’s Commercial Transactions practice area and primarily focuses her practice on domestic and international commercial agreements, joint ventures, and strategic mergers and acquisitions.
Menyhart focuses a substantial part of his practice on compliance with U.S. international trade laws, including CFIUS, export controls (EAR and ITAR), OFAC sanctions, and customs compliance. He is also active in promoting the growth of purpose-driven companies and impact investing in Indiana. Menyhart advises social entrepreneurs on how legal structures, such as benefit corporations, can express and promote their values.
