Camillucci and Lord to Speak on Panel at Real Estate Investment Association Meeting
Taft Chicago attorneys Karl Camillucci and Braeden Lord will speak on the panel “Playing Ball with City Hall” at the Real Estate Investment Association’s (REIA) Breakfast Meeting in Chicago on March 13 at 8:15 a.m. CST. Speakers will discuss how to work with local officials to navigate tight markets and develop successful communities. The program will explore strategies for how developers can reach out to local officials with a proposal, the appropriate steps to take to get an incentive or partnership approved, and more.

Camillucci focuses his practice on public finance, project finance, and economic development, including public-private partnerships (P3s) involving institutions of higher education. He represents a broad range of issues, including tax-exempt and taxable bond transactions, tax increment financing, economic development incentives, development agreements, land use and zoning entitlements, and regulatory compliance.
Lord is a member of Taft’s Real Estate practice group. He advises real estate developers, corporations, non-profits, small businesses, and local governments on a wide range of topics, including zoning, licensing, permitting, local taxation, statutory interpretation and real property acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing. Lord received his J.D. with honors from the University of Chicago Law School and his bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Boston College.
