Colom to Speak at Indiana Commercial Real Estate Conference
Taft Indianapolis partner Kiamesha-Sylvia Colom will be one of the featured speakers during the Indiana Commercial Real Estate Conference on Sept. 10-11, 2024. Colom will be a panelist on Sept. 11 for the session titled, “Don’t Die Broke: Best Practices and Trends for Investment Real Estate.” She will be on a panel reviewing prior case law, newly codified laws regarding buyer agent requirements, and how these changes affect Commercial Real Estate Brokers.
Colom serves as the Real Estate practice group lead for the Indianapolis office. She focuses her practice in the areas of real estate transactions (acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing, sale leaseback transactions, and real estate municipality work), real estate lending and commercial finance transactions, and related business transactions. Colom serves on Taft’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee and on the board of directors for the Eskenazi Health Foundation, Eskenazi Health Centers, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) Indianapolis, and has held numerous other leadership positions.
