Colon Appointed to Black Lawyers Association of Cincinnati Board of Directors
Taft associate Jada Colon was recently appointed Recording Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Black Lawyers Association of Cincinnati. In her role as Secretary, Colon will be collaborating with other board members to further the association’s focus on addressing issues particular to African American attorneys and promoting equity in the legal profession and justice system.
The Black Lawyers Association of Cincinnati is a nonprofit bar association that works to ensure all lawyers and law students are given the opportunity to share equally in the benefits of the legal profession. Association members work in both the private and public sectors and practice in a variety of areas including criminal law, labor and employment, personal injury, civil rights, intellectual property, advertising law, insurance, and environmental law. Colon is an associate in Taft’s Litigation practice group and represents clients in a range of complex matters including commercial and contract disputes, consumer financial services litigation, product liability litigation, construction litigation, and intellectual property litigation disputes involving patents, trademarks, or copyrights. Colon earned her J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law and her B.S. in communications and political science from Ohio University.
