Copp to Moderate Panel at Racing and Gaming Conference
Taft partner Kimberly Copp will be a speaker at the Racing and Gaming Conference in Saratoga Springs, New York on Aug. 13. The conference will bring together gaming and racing industry leaders, academics, elected officials, lawyers, and more to explore trends and key issues in the racing and gaming industries. Copp will moderate the panel “Horse Racing: The Reports of My Death are Greatly Exaggerated,” which will discuss the major construction and development projects across the country.

Copp is co-chair of Taft’s Gaming Industry group. She represents cities, states, and regulatory bodies on gaming matters, legislation, and related regulations between state/local governments and casino developers. Copp has extensive experience drafting legislation and related regulations, negotiating host community agreements between local governmental units and casino developers, conducting competitive selection processes for casino opportunities, and negotiating and providing counsel on casino development projects.
