Craig Morgan and Tyler Godbehere Present at ACC Arizona CLE Program
Taft (formerly Sherman & Howard) attorneys Craig Morgan and Tyler Godbehere were featured speakers at the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Arizona March Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program.
In the presentation, Morgan addressed the latest Supreme Court cases regarding corporate and business law, intellectual property, labor and employment, and other general litigation updates. Godbehere shared insights on key considerations and checklists for negotiating commercial leases. He specifically covered how rent is calculated, the logistics surrounding operation and maintenance expenses, negotiating a letter of intent, negotiating a work letter, key lease dates, documents, and provisions under Arizona law.
Morgan is an experienced litigator and serves as partner-in-charge of Taft’s Phoenix office. He represents parties in all aspects of complex litigation (from trial through appeal), business disputes, dispute resolution, crisis management, and internal investigations.
Godbehere is a real estate associate with experience drafting and negotiating real estate transactions, including commercial leases and development, sales, and construction contracts exceeding $15 million. He conducts real estate due diligence by reviewing title and survey documents, drafting corrective deeds and easements, working with surveyors, and negotiating settlements with title companies.
Effective Jan. 1, 2025, Sherman & Howard combined with Taft, creating a firm powered by more than 1,000 attorneys from Washington, D.C. to the Mountain West. The combination enables both firms to deepen their benches of attorneys and strengthen their service offerings.
