Duncombe and Sumner Selected for 2020 Dayton BizWomen Power 50
Taft partners Barbara Duncombe and Suzanne Sumner have been selected as two of the 50 most influential women in the Dayton region by the Dayton Business Journal editorial board. Duncombe is chair of Taft’s Government Contracts practice and serves on the firm’s Executive Committee. For over 25 years, she has worked with clients in handling all types of government contract issues as well as responding to government investigations and False Claims Act cases and in conducting internal compliance investigations. She has been selected for the Dayton BizWomen Power 50 list annually since 2014 and has received numerous other recognitions for her accomplishments, including named to The Business Journal’s Influencers Law list, selected as one of NAWBO Indianapolis’ 2019 Trailblazers, and named to the Who’s Who in Aerospace and Defense list.
Sumner focuses her practice on government contracts law and is a member of the firm’s Succession and Transition Planning and Paralegal Committees. She assists prime contractors and subcontractors with all issues related to their government contracts, including FAR/DFARS compliance reviews, negotiating agreements, compliance with Berry Amendment, Buy America and Trade Agreements Act requirements, internal investigations, claims, and bid protests. Sumner serves on several boards, and is currently serving as an Honorary Commander for the 445th Airlift Wing at WPAFB. She has been selected for the Dayton BizWomen Power 50 list for the past three years and has also been named to The Business Journal’s Influencers Law list and the Who’s Who in Aerospace & Defense list.
