Taft partner Barbara Duncombe has been selected as one of four 2019 Trailblazers by the National Association of Women Business Owners – Indianapolis (NAWBO – Indianapolis). They will be honored during the 15th Annual NAWBO – Indianapolis Trailblazers Awards and Panel Luncheon on April 24 where they will each speak about their paths in life, the trailblazers they respect, the lessons learned and the importance of blazing a trail in our community.

Duncombe is chair of Taft’s Government Contracts practice and serves on the firm’s executive committee. For over 25 years, she has worked with clients in handling all types of government contract issues as well as responding to government investigations and False Claims Act cases and in conducting internal compliance investigations. She has received numerous recognitions for her accomplishments and was selected as a speaker for TEDxDayton in 2018 where Duncombe spoke about her career journey from typist to rainmaker, fighting gender bias along the way.
