Elizabeth Rogers Joins the Firm
Elizabeth Rogers has joined the firm’s Southfield office as a partner with the firm’s real estate practice group.
Liz is a seasoned practitioner with extensive experience in driving complex transactions for large corporations and closely-held businesses. She has served as closing or supervising counsel for national and regional financial institutions in matters involving securitized lending, workouts, foreclosures, and originations. She also has represented international and national corporate real estate investors in connection with the acquisition, disposition, leasing and financing of all types of commercial property; and, she has defended and pursued claims for her clients in federal, state and district courts.
Prior to joining the firm, Liz served as in-house legal counsel for a large municipality and advised its boards, commissions and elected officials regarding strategic transactions involving public-private partnerships, zoning, regulatory requirements and risk mitigation.
Outside of the Firm, Liz serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Global African Business Association, and sits on the advisory board for Sowing Empowerment & Economic Development, Inc. (SEED).
Liz received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Michigan. She is admitted to the State Bar of Michigan and the State Bar of New York.
