Fields Joins Taft’s Intellectual Property Group
Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP is pleased to announce that Derrick Fields has joined its Indianapolis office as a patent agent in the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group.
As a registered patent agent with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Fields prepares, drafts and prosecutes patent applications on behalf of clients. He has extensive experience in the electrical, telecommunications, computer science networks, mechanical and electromechanical industries.
Prior to joining the firm, Fields was a patent agent with a law firm and lobbying group in Washington, D.C. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, his master’s degree in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his bachelor’s degree from the Southern University and A&M College at Baton Rouge.
