Fisher and Saeedi to Serve on Panel at ABA National Institute on Class Actions Conference
Taft Chicago partners Ian Fisher and Daniel Saeedi will be speaking on the panel “Privacy Class Actions: A Bee in Your Bonnet!” on Nov. 11 at the American Bar Association’s (ABA) National Institute on Class Actions Conference in Scottsdale, Ariz. The panel will provide perspectives from plaintiff’s counsel, defense counsel, in-house counsel, and the bench on best practices, concerns, and the latest trends in the area of privacy class actions. Fisher will serve as moderator, and Saeedi will be a panelist.

Fisher represents clients ranging from small entrepreneurs to Fortune 100 companies in commercial litigation matters involving real estate, antitrust, trade secret misappropriation, restrictive covenant, consumer, contract, and business tort disputes. He has substantial experience defending against class actions and navigating multidistrict litigation proceedings. He counsels clients on a wide range of issues central to their business needs, including Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) compliance, the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), insurance policies and claims, risk mitigation, and restrictive covenants.
Saeedi focuses his practice on issues relating to employment law, privacy, and information security. He represents clients nationwide in the realm of trade secret theft, non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, and breaches of fiduciary duties. Saeedi also provides counseling to businesses on how to employ best practices and policies to better position themselves to litigate unfair competition claims.
