Gaming Attorneys Contribute to Gambling 2020 Publication
Taft gaming attorneys Paul T. Jenson and Erin Lynch Cordier authored a chapter in the sixth edition of The International Comparative Legal Guide: Gambling 2020. The guide provides practical, cross-border insight into gambling laws from dozens of jurisdictions around the world. Jenson and Cordier’s chapter includes an analysis of gaming laws in Illinois. Jenson is partner-in-charge of Taft’s Chicago office and co-chair of the firm’s Gaming practice. Focusing on the gaming industry, he represents casino operators, investors, lenders, manufacturers, distributors, terminal operators and suppliers. Jenson has drafted state gaming statutes, administrative rules and policies. He has an extensive practice in the distributed gaming market (slots and other machines) in Illinois and Pennsylvania.
Cordier focuses her practice in the area of gaming, where she has experience representing casinos, terminal operators, manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and licensed establishments. She counsels publicly traded and private companies regarding mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions and corporate governance, as well as licensing, compliance, administrative proceedings and other matters before the various regulatory bodies. Cordier also has experience implementing sweepstakes and raffles in accordance with state and municipal requirements.
