Ganow Facilitates Data Security Discussion with City Managers and Municipality IT Leaders
Taft attorney Scot Ganow facilitated a discussion for municipality colleagues on “Data Security – Policy and Legal Issues” on May 22 as a guest of Technology First. Led by Ganow, city managers and IT leaders from local jurisdictions shared technology experiences, questions, concerns and resolutions to data security issues to increase efficiencies and standardize technology across regional municipalities when appropriate.
Ganow is co-chair of the firm’s Privacy and Data Security practice. As a former chief privacy officer and leveraging more than ten years of management and compliance experience in Fortune 500 companies, he brings a diverse business background to his privacy and data security practice. Ganow has represented clients in a variety of sectors, including consumer reporting, construction, healthcare and manufacturing. He assists clients in all areas of the data life cycle including policy development, third-party management and incident response and counseling.
