Helfman Quoted in CJN Article on Divorce Process
Taft partner Jill Friedman Helfman was quoted in the Cleveland Jewish News article “Divorce can be made easier when consulting attorney,” published on Nov. 22. The article discusses a few steps people can take to make the divorce process — which is often a stressful life event — as smooth as possible.
Helfman said the first thing she advises clients to do is to become knowledgeable about their financial situation. She also asks her clients about their goals, whether it’s five or 15 years down the road.
A well-respected attorney and family advocate, Helfman serves as co-partner-in-charge of the Cleveland office and as chair of Taft’s Domestic Relations practice. Her practice focuses on family and divorce law, particularly in high net worth cases. Helfman is certified by The Ohio State Bar Association Family Law Specialty Board as a specialist in the field of Family Law in Ohio and as an arbitrator through the AAML Matrimonial Arbitration Training Institute.
