Helget Writes on Patent Infringement for The Licensing Journal
Taft partner and patent attorney Gerald Helget contributed the article “Patent Owners May Tend to Sue for Infringement and Negotiate Later,” which was published in the August 2021 edition of The Licensing Journal. The article focuses on the less expensive option to deal with patent infringement, which is to attempt to negotiate a patent license with the infringer in another state without filing an infringement action.
Helget, a licensed patent attorney for close to 40 years, practices principally in the areas of patents, trademarks, trade dress, licensing, intellectual property litigation, copyrights, trade secrets, and related matters. He has a special interest in products and services related to the outdoors, hunting, and fishing.
