Hutchinson and Govindadas to Present on IP Basics at Indy Design Week
Taft IP attorneys Garrett Hutchinson and Rhea Govindadas will present the webinar “Intellectual Property Basics: Common IP Pitfalls and How To Avoid Them” during Indy Design Week on April 22 at 11:00 a.m. EDT.
Indy Design Week is a week-long celebration of the Indianapolis design community. Events will include panel discussions, interactive meet-ups, in-person and virtual speakers, and a pop-up market that showcases designers, makers, and brands.

Hutchinson is an attorney in Taft’s Intellectual Property practice group. He advises clients at each step of building, maintaining, and protecting their intellectual property (IP) portfolios. His practice focuses on trademark and copyright prosecution, trademark clearance, IP enforcement and litigation, WIPO UDRP proceedings, sweepstakes law, and the right of publicity. Hutchinson has experience drafting and administering IP licenses for clients and assisting in preparing IP valuation reports for tax purposes, assessing civil damages, and transactional purposes.
Govindadas focuses her practice on all matters of intellectual property and trademark litigation. Prior to joining Taft, she gained experience interning at law clinics and working as an extern with an intellectual property law firm specializing in international trademarks. Govindadas earned her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame, where she participated in the Notre Dame London Law Program and worked in the Notre Dame Intellectual Property Clinic, providing free trademark services to local small business owners.
