Katharine S. Mascarenhas Joins Taft
Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP is pleased to announce that Katharine S. Mascarenhas has joined the firm’s Indianapolis office as a partner in its Business and Finance practice group, where she will be active in the firm’s commercial lending and private equity practices.
Prior to joining Taft, Mascarenhas was a partner in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where she had practiced since graduating from law school. During her tenure at Kirkland, Mascarenhas acted for some of the country’s leading private equity funds, as well as a wide range of private and public companies, in connection with their domestic and cross-border debt financing transactions. She will continue that work at Taft, representing the firm’s private equity and other clients in complex financing transactions.
Bob Hicks, partner-in-charge of Taft’s Indianapolis office and leader of the firm’s private equity practice, said, “We are thrilled to have Kate join our team. She brings with her a blue chip academic pedigree and deep experience in leading the types of complex financing transactions in which our largest clients are regularly involved. Her energy and experience are a welcome addition to our practice and will allow us to continue serving our growing client base with their most significant financing needs.”
Mascarenhas is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Houston Law Center.
