Klos Joins Taft’s Health and Life Sciences Practice
Taft is pleased to announce that Kristen Gentry Klos has joined its Indianapolis office as a partner in the firm’s Health and Life Sciences practice.
Klos focuses her practice in the area of Medicaid and Medicare program reimbursement, providing seasoned legal and consulting services to all providers, state agencies, lenders and contractors. Providing legal representation for healthcare providers, hospitals, dentists, manufacturers, pharmacies and other parties, Klos is known throughout the country for her experience in the very specialized area of Medicaid Supplemental Payment (also known as Medicaid Upper Payment Limit) programs. She has worked in a number of states including Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Texas, Utah, Wyoming and Montana and has worked with providers and State Medicaid agencies to create and implement these programs.
Klos earned her Juris Doctor degree from Indiana University McKinney School of Law and bachelor’s degree with distinction from Indiana University. She is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, Indianapolis and American Bar Associations, Executive Women in Healthcare and Indiana Benefits Conference. Klos serves on the board of directors for the Gennesaret Free Clinics and is involved with the American Heart Association.
