Kurian Recognized on Lawyers of Color 2023 "Hot List"
Taft Cleveland attorney Riya Kurian was selected to the Lawyers of Color 2023 “Hot List,” which recognizes junior- and mid-level attorneys who demonstrate integrity, high achievement, leadership, and a passion for diversity. Honorees are chosen by notable accomplishments, community involvement, and commitment to diversity initiatives.
Lawyers of Color is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting diversity in the legal profession and advancing democracy and quality in marginalized communities. The organization celebrates attorneys of color and conducts research and studies regarding the intersection of the legal profession and social justice.
Kurian is an associate in Taft’s Commercial Litigation practice. She has experience with depositions, mediations, arbitrations, propounding and responding to discovery, brief and motion writing, pleadings preparation, general legal research and writing projects, and court appearances. Kurian earned her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and received her bachelor’s degree in Biology and French from Rockhurst University.
