Larsen and Newsome Recognized as Crain's Cleveland Notable Women in Law 2024
Taft Cleveland partner Lynn Rowe Larsen and associate Allison Smith Newsome have been selected to Crain’s Cleveland Business’ Notable Women in Law 2024 list. Honorees are those who hold a leadership role in professional organizations and civic service initiatives, show significant impact in their role and/or practice area, serve as role models or mentors to other women in the legal industry, and work to advance inclusive practices in the workplace.

Larsen is firmwide co-chair of Taft’s Commercial Litigation practice and serves on the firm’s Executive Committee. Her contract dispute experience includes representing multiple sports and media clients on a variety of litigation matters including sponsorship, licensing, endorsement, and representation agreements. Her experience representing media clients also involves a variety of First Amendment work including defending defamation actions and commencing mandamus actions for public records.
Newsome focuses her practice on the representation of hospitals, physician groups, and other health care organizations regarding the regulatory, transactional, and business aspects of health care law. She also advises health and life sciences clients on startup and financing, employment, reimbursement, hospital and physician joint ventures, state professional and facility licensing issues, food and drug law, and various regulatory matters, including HIPAA, Stark and Anti-Kickback issues.
