Daniel Opperman joined Sherman & Howard on Thursday after spending the last 14 years with the New Mexico Finance Authority. Opperman told Law360 Pulse on Tuesday that during his time at the New Mexico Finance Authority, he worked with several of the firm’s attorneys over the years and was impressed with its approach to client service, adding that the opportunity to expand the firm’s offerings in New Mexico was an attractive factor.
“I’ve known the lawyers there for several years, and they’ve always been a great group of smart folks with a deep bench,” Opperman said. “I’ve had the opportunity to work with firms across the country, and they stand out because of their responsiveness and level of service. It’s a great opportunity to join Sherman & Howard and help grow and expand its Albuquerque business while giving them a real New Mexico presence. Going back into private practice with this group was a very easy choice.”
